- NC BON requires the licensed nurse to carry out a self assessment of her/his practice, and develop a plan for maintaining competence. This assessment is individualized to the licensed nurse’s area of practice. This has been required for renewal or reinstatement of nurses’ license since July 1, 2008 and you may be audited by the BON. If you have not done this then go to the NC BON website (http://www.ncbon.com/content.aspx?id=664) and complete your required assessment.
- Then return to the CLL website and notice that for each CLL course listed on our webpage we have identified which Dimension of Practice that course helps meet. Now you can tailor your educational experience to meet your identified competency needs!
